The Fame Games

A special group of people from the Detroit area also directly benefit from today's events. Proceeds from the Hank Greenberg Memorial Golf & Tennis Invitational also help fund the Fame Games — a joint effort by the Michigan Jewish Sports Foundation and the Jewish Community Center. The Fame Games bring together a group of physically and mentally challenged individuals for an inspiring day full of fun, athletic competition and much more.

The purpose of the Fame Games is three-fold:

  1. to support community awareness for developmentally challenged individuals;
  2. to give developmentally challenged individuals a real athletic experience;
  3. to promote a positive and healthy lifestyle for each participant.
